The Rum Shop

Short story featuring a young school boy who sneaks into a rum shop to visit a scrawny rastafarian. The rum shop is on the beach on a breezy, laid-back Caribbean island. They fall into a slice of life conversation with serious theme of ambition vs passivity on this fantasy-like ambiance of a tropical beach side, where the young black boy will figure out a serious life lesson in this unassuming rum shop.
